Q: Do you offer AHA course?

A: Yes, we are American Heart Association certified instructors for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Q: Will I receive the card at the end of the course?

A: Yes, once you successfully complete the course. For successful course completion, students must demonstrate skills competency in all learning stations, pass the CPR-AED skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, megacode test and pass the written test with a score of 84% or higher. eCard(s) will be emailed directly to you from AHA within 24 hours of passing your class. Q: How long is the card good for?

A: AHA cards are valid for two years.

Q: Are there prerequisites for taking the ACLS/PALS Course?

A: Yes, before taking ACLS/PALS, students should have a mastery of BLS skills. They should also be able to recognize various heart rhythms, be familiar with different types of airway management tools and their use and have knowledge of the drugs commonly used to treat cardiovascular irregularities. To help students adequately prepare for the ACLS/PALS Course, each student must complete the online ACLS/PALS mandatory Precourse Assessment and bring the printed results to class.

Q: How can I access the ACLS/PALS mandatory Precourse Assessment?

A: Once you schedule your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with the ACLS/PALS Study Guide, which includes instructions and links on how to access the mandatory Precourse Assessment. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not see it in your inbox.

Q: Are there prerequisites for taking the NRP Course?

A: Yes, complete the NRP 7TH EDITION PROVIDER ONLINE PART 1. This includes the online written exam and eSim cases (required). Student must bring the Completion Certificate to class in order to participate in the instructor-led portion. Key to NRP Online Course Part 1 is not included. Q: Do I need the book(s)?

 A: Yes, to take the BLS/ACLS/ PALS/NRP Course, each student must have access to his/her own 2020 Provider Manual(s) before, during, and after class. 

 Q: Do I get CEUs for attending class?

A: Yes,  we offer CEUs to Dentists (DDS or DMD), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Paramedics (Medic), Pharmacists (RPh), Physician Assistants (PA), Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP), Respiratory Therapists (RT), Registered Nurses (RN) and Nurse Practitioners (NP), and Doctors (MD).

Students must request CEUs at the time of class, state their profession, give their license number, and sign the CEU Roster. CEUs cannot be issued after the class is completed and closed. Your name on the roster must match the name that you want on your CPR card.

Q: How many CEUs do I receive for ACLS/PALS?

A: Six (6) CEUs for ACLS and six (6) CEUs for PALS!

Q: How many CEUs do I receive for BLS?

A: We offer four (4) CEUs to certified Medical Assistants (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Home Health Aides (HHA), Certified Personal Trainers (CPT) with American Council on Exercise (ACE), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), National Council of Strength and Fitness (NCSF), and National Federation of Professional trainers (NFPT), Dentists (DDS or DMD), Dental Assistants (RDA), Dental Hygienists (RDH), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Paramedics (Medic), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Psychiatric Technicians (Psych Tech), Occupational Therapists (OT), Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA), Pharmacists (RPh), Pharmacy Technicians (PhTech), Physicians (MD),  Physicians Assistants (PA), Physical Therapists (PT), and Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA).

Q: How can I get a receipt?

A: If you paid online, you will automatically get an email receipt from Stripe on behalf of Rescue with CPR. If you paid in person or over the phone, we will email a receipt to you after class. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not see it in your inbox.
